Due to dwindling numbers of participants across the cycling time trial scene, and ever mindful of the commitment required of our generous volunteer organisers, for the 2023 season we have decided to join up with two other local clubs to offer an inter-club competition of 12 events, across 3 courses.  Events will take place on different days, and at different start times to cater for as many people as possible.

The Charlotteville Evening 10s on course HCC123A will therefore only take place on the four dates below.  Please note, this year these will take place on a Thursday at 7pm, not the usual Wednesday evening.

As always, sign in will close 5 minutes before the first rider off, with NO EXCEPTIONS.  Please ensure you are able to get there on time.

The sign-on and start location is the car park at the junction of Hunts Hill Road and Guildford Road in Normandy. The what3words location is ///most.curve.collision.

Please note there are no toilets at sign-on or at the start or finish.

• Sign on will open 35 minutes prior to first rider off.
• The number of riders each week is capped at 40; entry is on a first-come, first-served basis
• When you sign up to ride an event you will be allocated a RACE number.
• After your race, please ensure you return to the start, take your number off & use the wipes available to clean it before handing it back to the  organisers.
• Your rider number each week will determine your start time.
• It is your responsibility to be at the start ready & on time.

Chaflotteville events will operate a cashless system, and payment will be by DEBIT or CREDIT card only.  Please be aware that other clubs may not offer this facility, so please ensure you have your entry fee in cash for those events.

• Helmet and both front and rear lights are now mandatory per the CTT regulations.
  Riders without both lights will not be permitted to start.
• Sign on will close 5 minutes before first rider off without exception; don’t be late.
• Parking at the start is limited.  Please ride to the event if you can.
• You may use a turbo/rollers to warm-up.
• Race results will be posted on-line only, after the event has finished.
• Minimum age to race is 12 years. Rascals can participate as normal subject to having completed a parental consent form. Junior riders should be accompanied by a parent or adult rider who must follow only, i.e. no pacing.

Covid-19

Formally organised outdoor sports are still required to have measures in place to manage COVID and we must be compliant with governing body guidance. You MUST familiarise yourself with these prior to attending an event. As last year, COVID protocols ARE still in place for events & will need to be adhered to by ALL.

• If you feel unwell before the event, please do not attend, no matter how mild it feels.
• You must use hand sanitiser/wipes before & after sign-on.
• Personal possessions can now be left at sign-on if required.
• Mechanical assistance CANNOT be offered so please ensure you are self-sufficient and able to deal with any mechanicals
• Held starts are available.
• We will line up as usual but as we start in a bus stop this may be in use and we may have to adapt. Be prepared to move or adjust if asked.
