Rascals having fun at Box Hill waiting for the Olympic Road Race
If your child would like to receive coaching with the Rascals they will need a bike in good working order (sorry, no bikes with road tyres), a helmet, clothing with no flappy parts on the lower leg that can get snagged by the chain/pedals, mitts (preferably) to protect their hands, a parental consent form (available on the day). If attending the sessions at Goldsworth Park please ensure that your child has protective eyewear too.
Costs for the session are as follows: Go-Ride Club Members would need to join British Cycling with affiliation to Charlotteville and then they would pay £1 per Go-Ride session (£2 on Go-Race days). For that the Rascal member would also automatically become a Charlotteville CC member without any further subscription being paid. Non-members or British Cycling members affiliated to other clubs will pay £3 per Go-Ride session.
By meeting and riding in a space that is free from traffic, we offer kids the chance to work on bike handling skills which can be used in the future.

The Rascals are run by Jon Fox, Jon Goodge, Ian Haller, Jon Jarrett, Jon Lewis, Patrick Lonergan, Ian Portsmouth and Rex Shorey who are all British Cycling Level 2 coaches and assisted by other trainee coaches and volunteers. Keith Reed who is the British Cycling Go Ride coach for Woking and Guildford is also involved with the club.
